On top of my crazy, amazing, stressful London Fashion Week experience, I took a few days out before hand with my boyfriend to visit the sites of London. We stayed at the Grand Royale Hyde Park, which I really recommend for a short break, its literally a 20 second walk to Queensway tube station in zone 1, so you’re only ever 10 minutes away from the attractions!

We had a wonderful couple of days doing all things touristy – so I apologise for the generic touristy photos!

Our first stop was Trafalgar square, and on exiting the tube station all Kieran had to say to me was ‘Oh I thought it was bigger’. Sigh. On the bright side, at least all the pigeons have gone!

We then decided to walk on down to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey – this was one place I knew I had to visit, considering both my own and Instagram name @westm1nsterabbie

We then headed down to Sloane Square, home to the mothership of all shops Zara and Zara home, where I picked up some fabulous bargains in the sale!

Also situated near Sloane Square is the Saatchi Gallery. I’ve been twice before but on both times was helping at London Fashion Weekend, so it was nice to see some actual artwork for a change! Entry is free and well worth it, will take up to an hour out of your day! Unfortunately I was unable to get the artist names but these were some of my favourite pieces!

After this we hopped back on the tube to the Natural History Museum. We didn’t have enough time left to explore everything, so focused on the animal exhibits!

We then headed back to the hotel to get ready for our evening at the Theatre. We watched the The Nutcracker performed by the English National Ballet at the London Coliseum which was absolutely magical.

The video below shows the highlights of the performance.

After this we headed up to Covent Garden for our meal at Fire and Stone. We opted for the theatre deal, which was a pizza and cocktail for £15 – the pizzas are gourmet and the cocktails were amazing, so I highly recommend!

The next day we started with a chilled walk through Hyde Park and visited all the swans and the ducks!

Then we headed down to 221B Baker Street. As avid fans of the new Benedict Cumberbatch series, we couldn’t possibly go to London and miss out on this.

Wearing: New Look coat, Zara jeans, jumper and trainers (oops slightly obsessed!).

And that concludes our mid-week break!!!

Ciao X.
